Who We Are

Our Coalition History
Thrive Laurens has spent nearly a decade working to improve community health and well-being across Laurens County. What began as a coalition focused on healthy eating, active living, walkability, and youth-led wellness has grown into a countywide effort supporting food access, community gardens, school-based wellness resources, safe outdoor spaces, and preventive health initiatives.
Through strong partnerships, grant funding, and community-driven projects, the coalition has helped enhance resources such as community gardens, bike programs, crosswalks, blood pressure stations, and mobile food programs. In 2025, the coalition transitioned from Wholespire Laurens County to Thrive Laurens, reflecting its continued commitment to building healthier, more connected communities.
Moving Our Mission Forward
THRIVE Laurens County is proud to be part of the Healthy People, Healthy Carolinas initiative, a statewide movement dedicated to creating healthier communities by making healthy choices easier where people live, learn, work, and play.
Through this partnership, THRIVE collaborates with local organizations, community leaders, schools, businesses, healthcare providers, and residents to identify community priorities and implement sustainable solutions that improve health outcomes across Laurens County. By focusing on policy, systems, and environmental changes, we work to address the root causes of chronic disease and build a community where everyone has the opportunity to thrive.
