Alesia Carter

Alesia Carter is a core team member of the THRIVE Laurens County Coalition, where she supports initiatives focused on healthy eating and active living to improve the overall well-being of Laurens County residents. She retired after 18 years as a Credit Analyst with Ford Motor Credit Company, bringing extensive experience in financial analysis, accountability, and strategic decision-making. After retirement, Alesia took a two-year break before serving two years as an AmeriCorps member at United Way of Laurens County. During her second year of service, as the Executive Director prepared to resign, the United Way Board asked Alesia to step into the role of Interim Executive Director. After several months, she was appointed as the official Executive Director, a position she has held for nearly eight years.

Throughout her career, Alesia has demonstrated a strong commitment to helping individuals and families navigate challenging times by connecting them with vital resources and support services. Her leadership reflects a deep passion for community impact, collaboration, and long-term sustainability.

Outside of her professional work, Alesia enjoys spending time with her family, gardening, entertaining, traveling, and exploring new restaurants and coffee cafés.
